Gem Village/Ylämaa Gem Center is a treasure trove of jewellery, gems and other minerals. You will be attracted by  numerous strange collection stones and fluorescent minerals in the Gem Museum and seduced by unique jewellery prepared with our national gemstone in the shops.

Choosing a rough gem crystal or a piece of jewellery is fun, because spectrolite displays an unending variation of colours from deepest blue and green to gold and red. There is a spectrolite in the Gem Village waiting to be picked up especially by you!

Restaurant Korupirtti provides a pleasant  environment for lunch or coffee break, during which you may digest everything you have learned and seen. There is a small play area for children outside the museum and  treasure hunting from sand box for 1 Euro inside the museum. There is a gas filling service in the gem village too.

Gem Museum is open daily until 28th August, and after that it continues to be open on advance booking thorughout the year.
