Ylamaa Gem Show is an international highlight of every summer in Ylamaa of Lappeenranta in Finland!
Ylamaa Gem and Mineral Show has been the most attractive event in Southern Carelia province every summer and one of the biggest Gem and mineral shows in Nordic countries. Visitors have the opportunity to see and pick up smashing jewellery and other stone arts and crafts for their homes or professional use.

GEMHUNTING TOURS SPECTROLITE - EASY TO JOIN!
Come to visit Ylämaa Gem Museum and the Gem Village jewellery shops and get a touch of the Finnish national gemstone Spectrolite, which is well-known as the most beautiful feldspar,labradorite all over the world! There is hardly a more precious gift than a piece of jewellery mounted with a crystal from our national bedrock.
Join us on a trip to a spectrolite quarry to feel the joy of discovery and pick up your own gem crystals glittering in many colours, blue as the most beautiful one. You can also experience the massiveness of a granite quarry. Perhaps you would like to visit an old mill still grinding organic local flour in an idyllic environment and the historic Defence Line, Salpalinja in Finland. During the tour you will receive plenty of information on gems, granite and quarrying.

GEM MUSEUM YLAMAA
In Ylamaa Gem and Mineral Museum you can see the whole World of Gems including a new fascinating floor made of natural tiles of stones. Among 5000 minerals there is the most important Finnish national Spectrolite gem, which is appreciated as the most beautiful labradorite in the World. Also other Finnish minerals are displayed in our museum.
